My professional life has been devoted primarily to the care of birds.

I began practicing avian medicine at a time when specialized veterinary care for birds was rare. Over the years, I worked exclusively with companion birds, poultry, and exotic species, helping shape a field that has since grown into its own respected discipline.

Today, my practice is intentionally smaller and more focused.

I provide in-home veterinary care for pet birds and backyard poultry, emphasizing careful examination, practical diagnostics, and thoughtful medical management. House calls allow birds to remain calm and comfortable, while also giving me the opportunity to assess important factors such as diet, lighting, housing, and daily routine—details that are often critical to a bird’s health.

I do not offer emergency services, major surgery, or hospitalization. When advanced care is required, I assist owners with appropriate referrals.

My goal is straightforward:
to help birds live comfortably and to help owners make informed, humane decisions based on experience, observation, and sound veterinary judgment.

Birds are unique patients. They deserve care that respects their physiology, their sensitivity to stress, and their role as companions. That philosophy guides every visit.
